OMTL – Day 9 – Get your Quote ON!

Hey Hey Hey everyone – okay just a lil ONE MONTH TO LIVE update.

So I am on Day 9 (and it’s February 9th – AMAZING ha ha) – and I just finished my reading (had to do Day 8 & 9 together today cause I let some people in my community group borrow my book yesterday cause we ran out of them at service yesterday – what a GREAT PROBLEM to have!!!)

Anyway so I wanted to share a couple quotes from the book – they were really cool to me:

Day 8 – last day of LIVE PASSIONATELY section – chapter titled “KICK START”

“Don’t ask what the world needs.  Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.  Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”  —  Howard Thurman

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” — George Eliot

Day 9 – First Day of LOVE COMPLETELY section – chapter titled “HEART OF THE MATTER”

“Vanity it is, to wish to live long, and to be careless how to live well.” — Thomas A. Kempis

“The measure of a life, after all, is not its DURATION but it’s DONATION.” — Corrie Ten Boom  (my bold/capital on those words – man that is a powerful and easy statement to remember – maybe not so easy to live though!)

Man I don’t know about you all – but I LOVE THESE QUOTES and they get me juiced up and ready to hit the ground running – oh that I would not seek to live long as much I seek to live WELL – and that my life would be one not of an interest in duration but in complete DONATION!

May God grant me the wisdom and energy and diligence to make these desires a true reality!
