Don’t Call it a Comeback!

Hey everyone, not sure if you have heard by now but I’ve finally picked up a new “role/job” whatever you want to call it.

A couple weeks ago I was announced as the NEW (but yet RETURNING) Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs!

That’s right people – I’ll be returning to the sidelines that I patrolled right about a decade ago.  I was Head Coach and Athletic Director, back then it was the Roanoke Bible College Flames, from 1998 till 2001 when I moved to my new ministry role in Campus Ministry at NC State University.

Coach Alligood sporting his MACU Gear! GO GREEN!

I am excited about this new opportunity and hoping to help build this program full of solid young men who excel as leaders for Christ in the classroom, in life, as well as on the ball court.

So here is to a new era for Coach Alligood taking Charge in Chesson Gymnasium – so start making plans to come out and join us next year and do your part MAKING NOISE for the MUSTANGS!

Here is a little “insider info” on the MACU Mustangs so you can be a well versed fan:

MACU Mustangs participate in the Shenandoah-Chesapeake Athletic Conference along with Washington Bible College, Patrick Henry College, Christendom College and Davis College.

Athletic Director, Darrell Hairston, and I are working to secure a 20-game regular season this coming year for 2011-12 to be followed by our Conference Tourney 2/16-18/2012 and then the Small Bible College Tournament to be held 2/23-25/2012.

We are excited about the year ahead and we hope to see you come out and join us for some games this season.  We will be posting an updated schedule as soon as it becomes a finished product.  We would also love to see some fans at some of our away games when we travel to your area.

Go ahead and start practicing right now –
Chanting:    GO GREEN! & GO MUSTANGS!
